American Legion Post 1231 to Host Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser to Benefit NASA Education
and Stand Down for Homeless Veterans
American Legion Post 1231, Lake in the Hills, will host a Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser
from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, to support the work of National Association
of Systems Administrators Education Corporation (NASA Education) and the Stand Down for Homeless
Veterans on March 5 and 6 at YMCA Camp Algonquin. American Legion Post 1231 is located at
1101 W. Algonquin Road, Lake in the Hills, IL 60156.
Dave Byron of Aurora, Illinois,
a popular performer at area venues,
will perform during the February 17 fundraiser at American Legion Post 1231. His repertoire
includes blues, jazz, classical, Spanish Flamenco, soft rock and new age music. Dave Byron has
been playing guitar and performing for over 30 years. His blazing speed and pleasing tones
captivate audiences of all ages. In addition to performing approximately 40 shows a year,
Dave is a guitar instructor for the Apollo School of Music in Aurora. He has released five solo
albums and is currently recording his sixth.
The fundraiser will feature many exciting door prizes, drawings for merchandise and a silent auction.
The grand door prize will be a private flight to
Mall Of America in
Minneapolis. Other prizes include a laptop computer, a desktop computer, restaurant gift
certificates and more.
